Adult Student Connections offers support for income eligible adult students pursuing career and vocational certificates and degrees. Students may receive assistance in the form of textbook reimbursements, mileage reimbursements, and childcare.

Bilingual Counseling is available to help students in the process of adjustment to life in the United States, and to encourage a better understanding among cultures.

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are available to students who would like to learn English, and who need resources to begin life in the United States. Free classes are provided in Cortland, DeKalb, Genoa, Kishwaukee College, Rochelle, and Sycamore. Mastery classes are provided at Kishwaukee College.

The Family Literacy Program offers childcare to parents who are enrolled in ESL, ABE, or GED classes. Through the program, parents and children are given the opportunity to participate in reading events, learning activities and field trips.

Adult Basic Education (ABE), and General Education Diploma (GED) classes are available to students who wish to improve their literacy skills and complete their high school equivalency. Resources are available to help our students achieve their educational goals for the GED and beyond.

Our GED Counselor assists GED students in improving class attendance, provides career exploration, and offers referrals to area service agencies to meet student needs. Through the GED Counselor, GED completers also receive assistance with transitioning into college classes.

The Literacy Program is a Volunteer staffed program that allows ESL (English as a Second Language) and ABE (Adult Basic Education) students to improve their English literacy and computer skills. Free tutor training is available to persons who wish to be Volunteer Tutors in the Literacy Program.

The Right to Succeed program exists to offer guidance and support services to young students who wish to obtain life skills or complete their GED.

Teen Parent Services assists pregnant and parenting teens complete High School or earn their GED. The program also provides family planning information, parenting groups, ensures proper child immunizations and well-child check-ups, and screening for your child for developmental delays.

Our Workforce Preparation for Youth (WIA) program offers income eligible out of school youth an opportunity to participate in short-term training that will assist in obtaining employment.
