Adult Education Class Schedule
Classes are designed for individuals 16 years and older who are not attending high school.
GED & Basic Skills Improvement (Schedule)
General Education Development (GED) preparation classes prepare the student for the high school equivalency tests. Subject areas include reading, writing, social studies, science, math and the Constitution with emphasis on their practical applications and the total development of the learner. Individualized instruction, cooperative learning, and computer-assisted instruction enhance the learning experience.
Basic Skills Improvement classes provide instruction and literacy development in the following subject areas: reading, writing, science, social studies, mathematics, and the Constitution. Instruction in life social skill areas such as employment, community resources and consumer education is also included.
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes strengthen English reading, writing, and listening skills for employment, college, and student success. Instruction is provided for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level ESL learners.
Students must live within the Kishwaukee College District at least 30 days prior to starting classes.

Students 16-17 years of age are required to provide a letter of separation from their high school prior to attending classes.
