Dr. John H Pfund, Ph.D.
Fall 2014 Students: Welcome to Kishwaukee College for the Fall 2014 semester. Bio 103 and Bio 105 students, please read the syllabus posted on this web site (and print off a copy) before the first class. For Bio 103 students, throughout the semester, you will find a copy of the class notes and study guide for the quizzes and exam for each unit under "BIO 103 Note". Do not look for them under your class section. The class notes for week one will be posted the weekend before class begins. Bring the class notes to lecture to add additional notes, questions, and example problems. A new set of lecture notes will be posted for each unit the weekend before the first class. All files will be in PDF format and can be printed. Because of file size limitations and copyright laws, each class note file will only include images or diagrams that I generate or are publicly available. You can find most of the images used in lecture in your textbook. YES, we will have a full lecture the first class period and your first quiz one week later. For Bio 105 students, purchase your lab book in the book store and be prepared to do exercise one the first class period. Read the exercise ahead of class and be prepared to do metric conversions. Read the safety sheet in the lab book and sign the signature page indicating you will abide by the safety procedures. Have a great semester. John Pfund, Ph.D.
