First-Year Connections Summer Orientation 2013
Succeeding in college is all about making connections. The best students connect with professors, college resources, the community, and their peers to make the most of their college experience. That’s why our summer orientation sessions are all about connecting you with the many people and offices that can help you be successful here at Kishwaukee College.
Our day-long First-Year Connections orientation sessions are a good time to get acquainted with Kishwaukee College, learn more about beneficial resources the College offers, and to meet other students.
During summer sessions, you will:
- Take placement tests
- Learn more about financial aid
- Log onto your KishSOS online account
- Learn about offices and resources through a “walking orientation”
- Learn student success tips
- Interact with your peers
- Meet with counselors or advisors to discuss course selection
- Register for classes
Our First-Year Connections sessions will have you moving around, so please wear comfortable shoes and be ready to make connections!
All sessions will be offered from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Students are expected to attend the entire session unless otherwise notified.
To register for a session, please call the Counseling office at 815-825-2086, ext. 5070. You must fill out your New Student Information Form and send in your official transcripts from high school and/or other colleges attended before attending orientation.
