KC GED Express begins in April
Monday, March 21, 2011
The Adult Education and Transition Programs (AETP) division at Kishwaukee College will be offering the popular GED Express class in April 12 – 21. Interested district residents should call 815-825-2086, ext. 3370 or ext. 3180 to reserve a space in the class; orientation and placement testing will be held the week of March 28.
For any adult who did not finish high school, GED Express has proven to be a quick way to complete a GED and open up the door to a brighter future. The class has been offered at least once each semester for the past several years.
The class was created for students reading at the 10th grade level or above, who are motivated to complete the GED in a quick and efficient 7-day format. In the upcoming April class, students will meet April 12- 15 and April 19 – 20, from 3 – 5:40 p.m. to prepare for a particular GED test area. The students will take the GED tests on April 13 – 15 and April 19 – 21 from 1 – 2:10p.m. Students prepare in the late afternoon each day for the corresponding test given the next day in the early afternoon. When the Express class is finished, the students will have completed all six of the GED tests.
For more information on the GED Express class being offered in April, contact Tricia Wagner, Director of Adult Education at Kishwaukee College, at 815-825-2086, ext. 3180.
