Degree Options
Program Information
Kishwaukee College, in coordination with Kishwaukee Community Hospital, offers both degree and certificate options for EMS Training. Forms are required to be filled out before being accepted into the program.
Individuals and returning past paramedic students applying to the paramedic program who are with an agency in the Kish Health EMS System will get preference over all other applicants. Applicants outside the Kish Health EMS System will be considered for acceptance if spots are available.
Occupational Information
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are found in many careers across the nation. EMTs are multi-skilled emergency care providers, dedicated to patient care management in emergency situations. EMT training can help prepare you to work in:
- Ambulance Service
- Emergency Room Departments
- Urgent Care Facilities
- Fire Departments
- Law Enforcement
