Program Information

Esthetics professionals evaluate, care for and treat the skin. Appropriate and professional skin care is important for
two reasons: 1.) as the largest organ of the body, the skin is the most obvious reflection of overall health and
2.) general psychological well-being for humans is impacted by feeling good about their external appearance. The skin
looks good when a person feels well and a person feels well when they look good! In the Esthetics Program, students
learn human biology, first aid, and nutrition in addition to Esthetics techniques and practices.

This is a three semester, 760 hour program is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) and graduates will be eligible to sit for the exam approved by the IDFPR to become a Licensed Esthetician in the State of Illinois. Deadline for applications is December 1st. Requires 33 semester hours.

Our student body is comprised of working adults seeking a second career and also people who are entering Esthetics as a first career choice.
