A Photo ID is now required for all AR&R transactions.

Register Early

Many classes reach maximum capacity after the first days of registration.

Spring 2008 classes begin Monday, January 14. Consult the course listing for the date and time your class begins.

Veterans and students receiving financial aid are advised to register in person on the main campus.

Choose from Four Convenient Methods

1. WALK-IN

Registration beginning November at Kishwaukee College in the Admissions, Registration, and Records Office, U-147:

Kishwaukee College has continual registration for upcoming semester(s). Registration continues through the last day of late registration, which is generally at the end of the first week of a 16-week class. No registrations will be processed after the late registration without written consent of the instructor of the course. If you have any questions regarding registration, please call 815-825-2086, extension 274.

2. MAIL-IN

For Spring 2008, a maximum of 9 semester hours of credit may be registered. The registration form must be completed and received prior to the beginning of class. Refer to the Costs/Payment/Refund Information page for payment instructions.

3. FAX

4. TELEPHONE

Students may register by telephone only during the dates and times listed below and only for courses without listed prerequisites. Students should be prepared to answer all the questions contained on the registration form found in this booklet. For Spring 2008, a maximum of 9 semester hours of credit may be registered for by telephone. Refer to the Costs/Payment/Refund Information page for payment instructions.

Need to Change Your Schedule (Add/Drop/Withdraw)?

Once registered, and before classes begin, students can add or drop classes from their schedules in Admissions, Registration, and Records.

In Person

Students must complete an Add/Drop Form if they are changing sections of the same course or if they are withdrawing from any courses.

By Mail

Students may drop/withdraw from class(es) by sending a letter to the office.

By Fax

Students may drop/withdraw from a class(es) by faxing a letter to the office. (815) 825-2306

After classes begin, students may change their registrations according to the following guidelines:

Adding a Class

To add a class or change sections of the same class after one week of a class, students must complete an Add/Drop Form and must have the written permission of the instructor of the course.

Dropping a Class

To drop a class during the first two weeks of classes, students must complete an Add/Drop Form. Refunds of tuition and fees are processed according to Kishwaukee College's Refund Policy as listed in this booklet.

Withdrawing From a Class

After the second week of classes, students wishing to withdraw from a transfer/career class(es), must complete an Add/Drop Form and must have the withdrawal processed in the Admissions, Registration and Records office. Deadlines for withdrawing from classes are listed in the current Kishwaukee College Catalog and in this booklet.

Class drops or withdrawal may not be initiated after the established deadlines. Students who do not officially drop or withdraw from classes will be assigned by the instructor the letter grade (A,B,C,D,F) earned.

Continuing Education

Information on registration for CE courses will be available in the Spring 2008 Community Education Class schedule book mailed to district residents in January.

Adult Basic/Secondary Education

Adult Basic/Secondary Education students, including GED and ESL students, may register at the class site at any class time. These classes are open entry/open exit, with no advance registration necessary.
