Timetable of Election Deadlines

September 23, 2014 First day to circulate nomination papers. Must be original sheets signed by voters and circulators.
December 15, 2014 First day for filing in office of the local election official. Original nominating petitions must contain original sheets signed by voters and circulators.
December 22, 2014 - 5pm Last day for filing in office of the local election official original nomination petitions. A minimum of 50 signatures are required. The Statement of Economic Interest must be filed on or before this date with the DeKalb County Clerk's office and the receipt must be filed on or before this date with the local election official who received the nomination papers.
January 5, 2015

When two or more filing objections to nominating petitions are simultaneously filed for the same office as of the opening hour of the filing period or within the last hour of the filing deadline, the local election official shall break ties and determine the order of filing by means of a lottery.

The lottery shall be conducated within 9 days after the last day of the petition filing period and open to the public. If necessary, a lottery drawing will be held on January5, 2014 at 9:00 am in the office of the local election official for positions on the ballot of Kishwaukee College Trustees.

January 5, 2015 - 5pm Last day for filing objections to nominating petitions of candidates in the office of the local election official or designee.
??? 2015 Last day for candidate to file Withdrawal of Candidacy in the office of the local election official. Last day for local election official to certify candidates and the offices they are filing to the local election authority.

Three trustees are to be elected to fill the six year terms of Roberta "Bobbi" Burke, Ken Doubler, and Linda Mason

Filing Period

Petitions for the office of Kishwaukee College Trustee are to be filed between December 15 and December 22, 2014. The office is open from the hours of 8:00 am until 4:00 pm and on December 15 - December 19, 2014 and on December 22, 2014 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm at which time the following documents must be on file:

Statement of Candidacy

Nominating Petition Sheets totaling 50 or more signatures and property notarized

Receipt for filing a Statement of Economic Interest with the DeKalb County Clerk specifically for the office of Kishwaukee College Trustee.
