Parking on Campus

Kishwaukee College offers free parking on campus to students, employees and guests. Find specific parking information below for accommodations, events and more.

Please refer to the Interactive Campus Map to help locate specific parking lots. Once the map is open, find parking locations in the left-hand menu.

  • Select “Parking” to identify specific parking lots.
  • Select “Athletic” to find entrances for athletic events.

General Parking

Parking is open for students, employees and guests in Lots A and B, along with parking in the lot north of the Caukin building and Lot E next to the softball fields.

Lot C is identified for employees only.  Lot C is located between the B1200 and B1400 wings and can be accessed through Lot B.

Kishwaukee College can provide parking privileges to expectant mothers who need an accommodation due to pregnancy.

For pregnant employees and students in their third trimester interested in applying for parking accommodations, visit Illinois Persons with Disabilities Certification for Parking Placard/License Plates and complete the application. The application will be reviewed by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office to determine eligibility for a temporary medical disability parking placard. The decal or device shall be valid for no more than 90 days and shall clearly set forth the date that the decal or device expires. The decal or device shall be issued only upon a showing by adequate documentation that the expectant mother has entered her third trimester. (Public Act 102-0453 HB3027)

For employees and students requesting closer parking due to pregnancy only on the Kishwaukee College Campus, the expectant mother must provide the following information to the Kishwaukee College Security Office, C2177, for review by the Director of Safety and Security:

  • Written request for the short-term parking accommodation
  • Doctor’s note requesting the medical need
  • Completion of the temporary parking permit form

Once provided, the Kishwaukee temporary parking decal is only valid in the following situations:

  • The driver who applied for the decal must be the driver of the vehicle.
  • The Kishwaukee College temporary decal must be visible to the College’s on-campus Security.
  • The temporary decal is only valid when parking in a disability spot in the Kishwaukee College parking lot at 21193 Malta Road, Malta, IL.
  • The temporary decal is only valid during the time frame stated on the form submitted to on-campus security and on the decal.

Any violations of the above conditions are subject to the code violation of “Unauthorized use of parking places reserved for persons with disabilities 625ILCS 5/11-1301.3” and may be enforced by our on-campus security, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Vehicles parked in violation of the listed regulations may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense. Parking tickets range from $10 to $250.

  • Parking is allowed in marked parking stalls only.
  • No parking is allowed in spaces designated as "Maintenance Only," "Staff Only," or "Sheriff's Department Only."
  • No parking is allowed in restricted spaces that are identified as disability parking unless an appropriate disability placard is displayed.

Event Parking

Guests and students may park in North Parking Lot B and enter through Door 58 by the Library. Upon entering, turn right and walk through the B Wing to the Gymnasium. For additional assistance or disability access, use Door 50, which has ramp access nearest to the gym.

Parking for guests and students is mainly available off the campus ring road on the west side. Drivers should pull straight in to be completely off the road. Parking on the east side of the ring road is prohibited and marked with signage. Limited parking is available in Lot D (near right field of the baseball diamond) and in Lot E (behind the first base dugout). Note: Lot E parking is at your own risk due to foul balls during home softball games. Guests and students are not allowed to park in the Truck Driving Lot area of Lot D.

Park on the east side of the truck driving parking lot (Lot D). Enter the lot closest to right field of baseball field off ring road.

There is limited parking in Lot E. However, park at your own risk due to foul balls. There is additional parking North of Caukin Building.

Accessibility parking for Kish Commencement ceremonies is available in Lot B. Accessible entrance is available through Door 58.
