Foundation Scholarships

Scholarships reward and encourage student achievement, leadership, and involvement by providing financial assistance toward your cost of attendance. Kishwaukee College offers more than 80 Foundation scholarships, as well as additional opportunities through the Financial Aid Office.

Scholarship Application Info

Before you apply for a Kishwaukee College Foundation Scholarship, make sure you understand the eligibility requirements, application periods, and selection process. Use the information below to stay on track and maximize your chances of being awarded.

  1. Who is eligible? All current Kishwaukee College students are eligible to apply. If you are not yet a student, you must first apply to Kishwaukee College to be considered for Foundation scholarships.
  2. When to apply. Applications are generally accepted during the following windows unless these dates fall on a weekend or conflict with College closures, deadlines will shift to the next business day.

    1. Fall Semester Scholarships: February 1 – March 15
    2. Spring Semester Scholarships: September 15 – October 15

  3. How to Apply. To apply, log in to the Foundation Scholarship Application using your KishID and complete the general application. Once you complete the general application, the system will automatically match you with and apply you to any scholarships you qualify for. Some scholarships may ask for supporting documents, like an essay or letter of recommendation, and you can save your progress to finish later.
  4. Selection process. Students are selected on a competitive basis according to each scholarship's specific requirements.

Foundation scholarships are applied directly toward a student’s cost of attendance and do not allow for cash refunds. If scholarship funds remain after tuition is paid, students may request to use the remaining balance at the Kish Store for program-related items such as scrubs, tools, or other required materials.

Non-Profit Education Funding

The National Bank & Trust Endowment Fund provides financial assistance to individuals currently employed at non-profit organizations within the Kishwaukee College district.

Eligible individuals can use the scholarships to further their education, enhance their skills and advance their careers by taking credit or non-credit courses at Kish.

Eligibility & Application Process
Eligibility is limited to individuals employed by non-profit organizations within the Kishwaukee College district. Government employees, K-12 Education and those working outside of the Kish district are not eligible for this funding opportunity. This opportunity is not eligible for volunteers of an organization. 

  • Recipients are eligible for one award per fiscal year (July 1-June 30)
  • The scholarship will cover the cost of one course at Kishwaukee College, including the textbook if required, or one Ed2Go course. For Ed2Go courses, the scholarship may only cover a portion of the cost.
  • Letter of support from non-profit executive director stating how the course will benefit employee required; if applicant is executive director, letter of support may come from board chair.  
  • Successful prior course completion required for repeat applicants.
