Art Collection

A campus art collection is a subtle but integral part of the overall mission of Kishwaukee College. Artwork serves as a constant reminder throughout the campus that Kishwaukee is no ordinary place. The art collection subtly enhances the cultural environment of the community while exposing students, faculty and staff to global messages and creative thought. More than 500 pieces present interesting and novel art that spices up life on campus and prompts inquiry, debate and introspection.

An Evolving Collection

As an institution of higher learning, it is our responsibility to push boundaries and provide a stimulating learning environment. We recently completed an arduous two-year process of acquiring a broad cross-section of art from around the world. Examples of contemporary art reflecting the diversity of medium, genre and artist can be found on campus. Professors, students, alumni and estates have donated art to the collection. Anyone is welcome to contact the College Foundation to explore donating art or making a gift to the collection.
